Ana Tiegl, afgestudeerd aan de Faculteit Strafrecht en Veiligheid van de Universiteit van Maribor, schreef een bachelorscriptie over de behandeling van slachtoffers van mensenhandel in Sloveni\u00eb, een onderwerp dat ook aan bod komt in het JeS-project. Sloveni\u00eb wordt voornamelijk gezien als een doorvoer- en bestemmingsland, waar beperkte middelen en noodzakelijke aanpassingen de bescherming en rehabilitatie van slachtoffers belemmeren.
