World Teachers' Day

Erasmus+ programme celebrates on October 5th World Teachers’ Day and reminds us all that teachers and educators provide and promote not only knowledge but also values and different cultures. At the center of European values, we find human rights, equity, and supporting active citizenship. These principles need to be visible not just in theory but actualized in practice in our teaching and training and how we meet students in everyday life. (Erasmus+ newsletter)

Erasmus+ project JeS (Joint eStories: Journeys from Fear to Fair) promotes such human rights knowledge both for teachers and educators as well as students in European higher education. As future decision makers, students are actively participating in JeS e.g. by their research, blogs and articles. In 2025, JeS will organize several events both online and onsite in partner countries for increasing human rights awareness in education as well as providing different digital tools and eStories for teachers and educators, also including the voices and stories of those less heard. So stay tuned, kindly follow us and welcome to join our events in 2025!
